Hey guys, I've been having issues in game for a while, even with all my recent upgrades, after a few minutes of playing any game, the FPS's drop to 10, and the game runs real sluggish.
My temps never see over 73C, so it can't be a heat issue?
One thing I notice is in HW, my voltage is dropping down to 0.90V even plugged into the wall, with performance settings on.
Is this normal? or can this be my problem?
It's very frustrating, especially after recent upgrades.
I rather not have to buy a new MOBO![]()

I suggest you to undervolt the cpu. This helped me out when I had the same drops as you have described. For me that happened after the cpu upgrade, but I've got e8435 known for it's voltage to be a bit too high for our machines....... so I'm not sure if this is your issue. but I would give it a try......

Voltage has been fine for the past 20 minutes, no fluctuation.
Sometimes out of no where, the fps's will drop, and not come back until I do a FULL system restart, no errors other then the game itself "Not responding" for a few seconds. -
It looks like as soon as I exit game, GPU down clocks to 0.90V
But the game didn't choke once.
What's a good stress test for the GPU? -
Furmark is a good stress test. If it down clocks where sever stutering occurs it usually is the video memory has error'd and the GPU bios responds by placing it into a funky mode. This mode does not reset untill a hard restart. The video card has to power down.
I am not sure if the mode is a bug or designed in to protect the card but it does do this. When I overclocked the video card on my P7805 I would get this when I went too far. if you have returned to all stock speeds and this still occurs the video memory may be ready to go on you.
If you have overclocked for a long period of time it could be the memory has worn out. Electronically this can happen to chips. Options are to lower memory clocks or find a way to over volt the memory. Overvolting the memory could be just temporary as the chip is already pretty well worn out. -
Damn, not to good of news. So I might be needing a new MOBO then :/

well I would suggest trying a new power brick first. if your power is not clean enough the memory could just fault and cause the issue. Since it is an x9100 try undervolting and running at the bare minimal voltage you can. Even if you have to go to 2.4 GHz etc. if this cures the problem while you have stock clocks on the GPU and memory then power may be your problem.
If undervolting proves to be the cure a new brick still may not solve the issue. There are alot of internal caps used in downstepping the voltage that are internal to the system. These could be failing as well. but you have to test one thing and then cure it before you can move on to the next thing.
