I'm not complaining or anything, but the GPU on my 7811FX just runs about 5C-10C cooler all of a sudden. I don't use a cooling pad or anything, I've just always raised the back end of the laptop. I haven't cleaned the vents or done anything but now HWMonitor reads it 36C-42C when idling when it used to be 46-51 or so. Hope I just didn't jinx it, lol. Has anyone else had any experiences similar to this?

did you just update the drivers?

if so it could be a newer version that downclocks at idle

Yeah, that. Or Windows could have automaticly downloaded/installed the drivers as well.

...Other than that, maybe you fan kicked in and blew out a chunk of dust. :p

I've been using the same Xfastest drivers since December/January, and I pick and choose what updates I do through Windows update, it's not on auto-install. Could be the dust thing I suppose but I haven't seen anything and my desk is as clean as it normally is. Just weird I suppose, guess I shouldn't really complain though, heh.

have you benchmarked the performance to see if there is a change , cooler could mean lower scores.

Ran 3Dmark06, still same score. And I'm always on high-performance setting, as well as always undervolted. I didn't change any settings at all.

depends on how humid the air is in my room and the air temperature outside, that could be it, has it cooled down or been less humid recently?

It's gotten warmer here in Canada gradually, but nothing significant enough to explain a change in the wrong direction. Also, my house is regulated at about 22C always. Wouldn't know about humidity since I never pay attention to it, heh.

I will bet that is it, I notice sometimes my laptop would run cooler than normal, our crazy weather is at fault most likely.
