My GPU has gotten stuck at the Standard 2D setup constantly. My Bioshock FPSs are at around 6 and my eyes are bleeding. I'm not sure what happened.

update your GPU drivers.

I actually just did that with the drivers from Gateway. When I turn on the computer, it is at stock speeds, but then restarts the drivers and reverts to standard 2D.
-
update your BIOS, and run your OS update.
-
1. clean install vista
2. Tweak Vista ( http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/supertweaks.htm)
3. Install Gateway Drivers
4. Windows Update
5. Bios Update*
*I never did the BIOS update, cuz I had a hard time with the USB boot. -
Set your power option to the Performance Plan and make sure the external power supply is plugged in. Also, make sure the nvidia setup has the "performance" box checked and not the "quality" box.
GPU stays at the standard 2d clocks while ingame
