Its going to be almost impossible to get 30fps average but for now im running at high/high and both distance sliders at 10 , cars at 11, shadows at 0 at 1920x1200 as resolution as it makes almost 0 difference in framerate . Download the commandline text about halfway down this page and put it in your GTA directory where the exe is http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=335353 and that should help as well. This game really needs a quadcore to run right and theres no amount of tweaking or anything thats going to give you some massive framerate boost .

Thanks, I will give that a shot when I get home. I wonder if I drop it to 1440 X 900 would make much of a difference (fps wise)...

Nope thats why i was saying that in GTA's case the resolution makes almost 0 difference in the framerate and if say i lost 1 fps to run it in native res vs not ill take native any day .
