    Hey All,

I got this Gateway 3018GZ 14.1" notebook today. I installed the battery like the manual instructed, but I can hardly get the battery lock switch to move to the lock position as stated in the instructions. I am afraid that the battery could come loose when I am on DC power. Does anyone else have this model and if you do does it have this problem - or do I have a bum unit?

    Thanx

    Hmmmm.....

I had this problem on a Toshiba once. The battery had to slide in and then down to secure the latch. Are you sure you have the battery in all the way? or could it be jamming on somthing???
