I've got a Gateway 450SX4 that came with a 14.1 LCD, which is now broken.
Found a replacement entire "LCD assembly" that includes the LCD, inverter, bezel & housing (the entire top half of the laptop), but it's the 15" LCD.
Will this work, or is something in the motherboard dedicated to the specific LCD size?
    Thanks for any advice!

    Thanks, Lokster!
I'm not sure if I'm explaining this correctly-- the replacement I've found is the entire top half of an 450SX4, including the full lid, frame (bezel), hinges, and latch, as well as the LCD screen itself. It's off a 450SX4 that had a 15" LCD, while mine originally came with a 14.1" LCD, and a wider bezel to "trim" the smaller LCD in.
    This still won't fit properly?
    Thanks!

oh well if the boot fits :p but the motherboard isnt picky about LCD since all the hardware is the same because its from the same model
