    Anyone running it? How is it?

    I see most of the drivers in the sticky seem to work with Windows 7 as well as Vista.

    Just curious for any anecdotes.

    Which driver specifically are you using for Windows 7 and which games do you play?

    I currently use the Dox Customised Forceware v185.85 with Vista with great success on just about everything I throw at it.

    Windows 7 worked pretty well right away. Only things I added were esata, sound, trackpad, and your favorite nvidia drivers (I used 190.57).

    Windows 7 on my 6860 is great. It's very fast and games run better on it than Vista.

    I use WHQL Driver 186.42 for my GPU and its better than any driver i have tried so far. You'll love the look of the OS as well and just the over all of feel of Windows 7 is miles ahead of what Vista was and will ever be.

    Upgrade with confidence.

    Yep win7 works great on the 6860. I've been running it since it was first released to the general public as an RC and except for 1 random BSOD like 3 hours into running i haven't had a single problem since then. All things considered its been pretty flawless

    maybe one more question :)
    for our laptops should we grab x86 or x64 ? I don't know the difference between the two, just remember x64 would read more memory in Vista, other than that what's the difference ?

    Go with x64

    x86 = 32 bit system
    x64 = 64 bit system

    A 32 bit system will be more compatible with really old software, but will be quite resource limited and will not be able to support 64bit programs (unless the program developer is nice enough to code it in 32bit as well
