I just bought this from Best Buy less than a week ago. According to BB and Gateway this model is so new they haven't got any specs on it yet...sounds odd to me, but what ever.
Here is what I know so far by CPU-Z:
CPU: AMD Athlon M XP3000+ (fluctuates btwn 500MHZ-2.2GHZ)
    Bus Spd: 1045MHZ
    FSB: 523MHZ
    RAM: Samsung 512MB(2-256MB modules)PC2700(166MHZ max)DDR SoDIMM EXPANDABLE to 1.25GB
    Bios: Phoenix v57.06.05 9-24-2004
I want to find out what my options are to upgrade RAM. I can't find any PC2700 166MHZ modules anywhere, all 333MHZ which is fine by me, but will they run at 333? Also, how do I access the module on the mobo?
I noticed in Bios that there is a feature to lock CPU @ 800MHZ to save battery. I have that disabled but CPU still fluctuates a wide range...any suggestions?
    Thanks & e-mails are welcome!

How did you manage to disable the 800MHZ power saving thing??

I have since found a way to access the module on the mobo, no thanks to Best Buy GEEK SQUADS or Gateway tech support. I now have two 512MB PC2700's and it runs great. The setup is the same as the 7405 laptop that you read so much about here.

There is an option in BIOS to disable 800MHZ limit which I believe is disabled by default. To get the AMD Athlon CPU to run at 2.2GHz go control panel, power options, on the dropdown for power schemes select "home/desktop". As long as the battery is removed and the A/C adapter is used it will run steadily and very close to 2.2GHz.
    Enjoy!
