I am have alot of trouble with my 3 year old laptop, Ive raplaced the motherboard and cd-rom so far but the warranty has run out so I have to figure it out on my own or hopefully with the help of someone.

The power light will come on and I will try and boot up the computer but it gets going for about 2-3 seconds and it shuts down. The light isnt on anymore so I have to take the battery out and put it back in, then the power light comes back on. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I have afew, such as the AC Adapter or the battery itself. Please help me
