I started my 7422 three days ago and the screen went blank on loading Win XP. I connected a PC monitor on the VGA port and could only see the beginning Win XP page(Black w/ blue progress bar) then nothing. In SAFE MODE the OS loaded properly and was visible only on the Pc monitor. I performed a Full System Restore and after that step, I could load the OS in Normal mode but, again, visible only on Pc monitor. The notebook screen remains Bright white. I reseated the Video cable in the back of the LCD screen but that wasn't the problem. Does anyone know how to test the notebook's Screen? I'm willing to replace the screen but not too happy to do so and find out the problem is elsewhere. Any advice on this problem is welcome and greatly appreciated.
