You can always flash back to the older BIOS.

When it comes to BIOS i tend to fall into the "If it aint broke dont fix it" catagory and only flash if its actually going to help me in some way. Flashing just because something is new has many problems associated with it in my opinion

if your using the newest bios then yes your laptop is running hotter because gateway i guess got tired of people crying about the fan noise pulsing issue and just made the thermal trigger higher thus "fixing" the problem. the newest bios you can use that doesnt have this problem is 9c.17.00

Or you can keep the BIOS but use a good laptop cooler to keep the idle GPU temp down.

    NO QUAD CORES IN P-7805u.
The T9900 or the X9100 is the highest you can get. They are just a notch or 2 above what you have already(T9600) so unless you can find one for cheap its not really worth the gain. IMHOP.

Could also use it as a latchabel paper folder, could easily fit at least three sheets and still close the top to hold them securely..........
