    I think I need to post a positive post regarding my Gateway 7811FX since I see so many negative threads on here. I think people are more compelled to post when they have a problem with their laptop than if it is running smoothly. My only issue so far is 1 "stuck" pixel towards the center of the display, although it is not very noticeable. When you play games, the laptop blows some serious heat, but that is to be expected considering the hardware inside. Let me just say a few things that I like about the laptop, I think it was well worth the $1250.

    I LOVE the display on the laptop, it is incredible! Loving the 1920x1200 resolution too
    It is incredibly fast. I am an IT professional, I would pit this machine against 99% of desktops out there.
    I have gotten used to Vista Home Premium (after changing the start menu and a few other minor things) and like it now
    I like the styling of the laptop, I have seen a lot of negative reviews regarding the styling

    This is an amazing laptop at an amazing price!

    Ditto! Since changing the video drivers to nVidia's latest I have had no problems or issues at all. This product offers a LOT for the money...

    Yes, it's the nature of any forum, especially one devoted to certain products. You'll always hear more problems then anything. That's okay though. Glad to hear that not all of the 7811's have issues. Hopefully people who have issues will get working models in return. :D

    I love my notebook. It only took two to get it right unlike my iPhone which took 3... (2 iPhones in one day :eek:).
