Just wanted to find out if anyone has this new Gateway laptop and if so, have you tried out the MemoryStick Pro card slot.

Purchased system on Sunday at BestBuy. Everything works great until I try and use the MemoryStick Pro Slot on the front of the laptop. Reads card just fine, however when you try and retrieve it......OOPS... it won't come out. I took system back to BestBuy with card still in it. All of the Geek Squad personnel tried to get it out... no luck. They proceeded to take it apart... parts everywhere... could not get the back off, so as a last resort, one of them pulled as hard as he could on the card... and yes it finally came out.

I was given a new laptop..... and guess what... it does the same thing... it will not release the card unless you apply a lot.... and I mean a lot of pulling power to the card after it releases to get it out.

Anyone else with this system want to try that and see if it is a common problem?

    Brad :)

Don't have any of those types of cards around. I have a compact and Smartcard I can try though.
