    Gateway Battery wear?

    I've heard that gateway batteries have excessive wear rates, and was wondering what the validity of this claim is...

    Also, can anyone comment on the battery life of the NX560XL?

    I'm not sure of the answer but you should look to the manufacturer of the battery. In my case it is Sanyo. At least it didn't need to be recalled.

    laptop battery wear rate is hit&miss - some could go for years, some would pop in just months
    gateway/emachines battery r no worse than any other
    u r lucky then u will not get a bad patch during delivery

    as above, just remember that number 1 laptop battery killer is HEAT (my opinion anyway, same as deep discharging - constantly running the battery flat - many would disagree to this)
