I bought a Gateway and it came with some bloatware but there are quite a few programs I don't know and also the Gateway Web Cam toolbar keeps getting in my way, is there a way to turn it off?

    Programs I don't know:
    -BigFix

Programs I know But Don't Know If I Need:
    -Napster
    -Norton 360
-MS Office (I think it's a 60 day trial, if so that is taking up space)

Even easier, look down in the system tray at the bottom right (where your clock is). If you hover over them it'll tell you what they are. You can close the web camera software that way, or better yet, use MSCONFIG, go to the Startup tab and uncheck the box next to it and it won't come back unless you launch it. Napster is crap, unless you want to buy songs from them and both Office and Norton are trialware. You can easily uninstall them from the system, which is what I did. Bigfix is a Gateway program that monitors your system. Dunno if it's worthwhile or not personally. I just leave it running, unless I'm heading into a game, then I just right click on the icon in the system tray and close it. You could probably uninstall it too if you felt like it. I don't think it'd cause any problems. Uninstalling those programs, or just using MSCONFIG to remove them from starting up would be a lot quicker and easier then reinstalling the OS IMO.
