I got an email back from the Gateway tech support: Here is what it said. Does it have the PLL # in the link they sent me?

Is that it or should I ask for more info? Make sure you click the "show part numbers" link under the big SPECIFICATIONS text.

It has two numbers hidden in the page:

    4506535R and KC.83S01.DTP

I dont know if either of these are it.

Oh well, even if it isn't I'll be willing to take mine apart. Just anyone can give me a hint as to it's location?

It's supposed to be near the crystal... look up the laptop functionality guide in the search bar and you'll find it.

Are you sure you want to take it apart though after reading this?

If you do, good luck! Others have had a crash and burn experience.

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment, and a confessed electronics nerd.

    Thanks.

Now to wait, and then dissassemble to "Running in the Nineties" in the background. :D :D

18, going to U of Alberta for Comp. Eng. I'm only sad because I can't take any real risks with the dissassembly, because I can't really afford another, and I prefer not to lie and say I 'dropped it' or other concoctions, in order to get a warranty replacment. So that's why the sad face.
