Believe it or not, I couldn't find a good definitive answer via searching here.

Now... I'm waiting for my P-7915u to arrive and I've also got a Hitachi/LG Electronics CT10N Blu Ray drive on its way. Now, I know this is a popular combo hardwarewise.

However, I've only seen smatterings of info about what software you guys like to use for playing BluRay disks.

Outside of the general user-friendliness and playback quality of the software itself, I noticed one mention of Arcsoft's package working nicely with the softkeys on the P Series. Is this a common feature? If I were to get an IR receiver and controller, does any software work best with that sort of thing?

I use powerdvd and works great. Very low CPU utilization, runs directly off the GPU (via CUDA; ATI cards uses AVIVO).

ArcSoft or Power DVD has been the prefered choice. I went with ArcSoft mainly because it was cheaper (with coupon) than Power DVD and it still supported HDDVD playback also, as to where Power DVD dropped support for HDDVD after Power DVD 8(if I remember correctly). With the CT10N I can play my BluRay's and with the XBOX 360 player I can play my HDDVD's. Sure wish someone had made a slim combo drive that played both formats.

I have not tried using any of the soft keys so cannot confirm that part.
