My friend has a Gateway laptop, and when he came over the other day, he saw that my Dell had I8KFANGUI on it. Is there a similar program for a Gateway? Or a generic program? Ok. Thanks.

Notebook Hardware Control has this feature, but I don't think it works for all machines. It does not for my acer, but it could be worth a try for the gateway (it is free, after all)

Heh, mine doesn't do fans either. It won't even tell me the CPU temperature. I guess I'm not upset because of the deal that I got on it.
