I just bought it at $279.00. It is loaded with Vista. I tried to install Win 7. Now there is a problem. If I use the battery alone, Win 7 loads perfectly. If i use power cable with battery in postion or power cable alone, Win 7 loads fine until it hits the mouse screen. The lcd screen turns into black and never comes back on. (it is supposed to turn black and back on again in just few seconds). I know Win 7 is still loading because I can hear the sound and even I can see the image although it is really dark. I think for some reason the lcd lamp is not on. Could it be a driver issue? I know AMD/ATI does not provide the x series video card drive for win 7. Please help!!

Uninstall the video driver then and try rebooting with your power cable plugged.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already done that. Without the proper driver, it works fine but screen resolution is not correct.

I have done that too. Still not working. I guess I have to stay on Vista.

Thanks for the help but still no luck. Here is what I did. I used the modded driver then I restarted the computer. It looks fine. So I restarted one more time. It is dead again. I uninstall the driver in safe mode (no probelm to start in save mode), reinstall, reboot, it is good. One more boot, it is dead. Now at least one thing for sure, the problem is caused by the video driver.
