I had a flickering LCD so I replaced the LCd cable, After replacing the cable I got the LCD back to normal. I powered off the laptop and powered it back on and it would not power up. I reseated the battery, same problem, I reseated the adapter, same problem. No lights no display whatsoever. However if I remove the battery and the ac adapter together and then replace the battery and plug in the adapter, I get the battery light (amber) after leaving it it goes green. Once I touch the power button the battery light and hard drive light light flashes for a split second and goes dead. I have to repeat the same thing again to get any light. I removed the cdrom drive, network card, harddrive, memory, one by one to see if it make a difference I also disconnected the fan but unfortunately not. Any suggestions? Could it be the battery, adapter CPU or system board?
