    Bought this last week for the $399 special. I upgraded the memory with the Fry's $25 AR 2GB. I really like it but the sound is so low. I use a web cam and talk overseas but they cannot hear half of what I say. I have everything turned up to max. Is this poor design or a faulty notebook?

    poor design. get a headset with microphone. speakers suck on my t-1616 but the mic is alright
