I re-uploaded the sound file. Do you if there is a website that would hold these files for a long time ?

Hello Everybody Thanx alot for the Ethernet & wireless drivers
I 'v tried away to get the xp versions of all the vista drivers offered on the MT3422 its simply by searching on of the laptops on the download menu that have both XP & Vista Drivers for example the MX3410 has the same Motherboard driver as the MT3422 so u can downlaod the Xp Version from its page which I think contains the coprocessor too in:
    http://support.gateway.com/support/...wse&platform=10022&model=10799&os=10406&type=
u can try that for all the other drivers except the Touchpad

I am having problems with running a program called bitpim. Every time I open it, the computer freezes and artifacts up. I don't know how to fix it. I updated to the newest video drivers, that didn't seem to work though.

Okay I downloaded the ethernet link but it doesn't have a set up or anything and when I try saying update driver it says that those have nothing to do with it.
I'm looking for the driver for "Ethernet Controller", that would be that, right?

I used windows xp on the gateway mt3422 for about 1yr and finally gave up last week after the repeated crashes and various video anomolies that would come about now and then. Deeselcyde and a few users above did a lot of hard work early on finding the right xp drivers for everyone and it seemed to work alright for awhile. But not being an expert, I finally just gave up last week and decided to perform a clean install of windows vista 32 that came with the unit and see how it behaves. Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It boots much quicker now than the original factory config after all the bloated programs are gone. I just installed a couple drivers from gateway and all seems well so far. I use this machine at work mainly for word processing and and internet access so i don't have any special programs to use.

Okay well i wanted to know how you people downgraded the MT3422 to xp? I read things on how to successfully downgrade vista to xp and it varies depending on the computer, since you guys have the laptop i have i was wondering if someone could give me the step by step on how to do it.

Also lets say i cant find a driver for the laptop or something, can i just put in the gateway recovery disk and reinstall vista and go back to the way it was? or is it more complicated than that.

I had to replace the hard drive on my Gateway MX6920 notebook. After loading the system recovery CD, and installing the drivers found on the Gateway support websit, I now receive an error after windows boots up. The error is "sttray.exe - Entry Point Not Found," followed by "The procedure entry point LocalizeString could not be located in the dynamic link lbrary STLang.dll."
    Any suggestions?
