    Hello,

I recently purchased a Gateway MT3422 notebook and have been fairly happy with it except for one problem: cannot play DVD's, run Windows Media Center, open JPG's, or certain online video formats at the resolution of 1280x800. When I reduce the resolution to 1024x768, I have no problems any of those.

So I contacted Gateway customer support. The first representative told me to add another gig of ram onto the notebook (and attempted to sell me one). I went to CDW and bought one - but the problem was not resolved. So I went to Gateway support again and they told me to reformat the drive and reinstall Windows Vista. So I did that - but the problem was not resolved. So I went to Gateway support for a third time and this time the rep told me to just leave the computer at 1024x768 - which was NOT acceptable. So I sent them an e-mail to complain about their service - which I did not get a response - and I am still having this problem.

Any ideas on what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated!
