    Hello,

I'm working on a friend's Gateway MT3707 notebook, and I'm having a bit of a rough time trying to figure out what's going on with it.

For some reason, instead of booting into the OS (Vista), it loads directly into System Recovery Options mode. Miraculously, it loaded Vista once after a system repair was done a dozen times. I extracted the data that was needed to be backed up and restarted. It went directly back into the system recovery mode. From there, I did a full factory restore. It formatted the drive and re-installed the OS to OEM status.

After a restart, it still goes directly back into the system recovery options mode.

I'm kind of at a loss here.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do?
