The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    my fiancee wants this laptop for business and travel.

    she wants it because its nice and small.

    she will only use it primarily for web, office programs, music, and movies.

    i think the only thing i would do is upgrade the ram to 512mb.

    what do you guys think about this laptop?

    is it a winner or a loser?

    i got it at best buy this weekend on sale for $499.

    Seems okay for the uses you mentioned. I'd say that it is a winner if it is really what she wants.
    512 would come in handy too.
