I would like to add extra battery life to a gateway MX35XX.
Is there a secondary battery option (like a swapable optical bay) to the gateway MX3560 instead of the 9 cells that stick out of the back?

Any idea(s) ?

I was wondering about that too, I have an mx3558 (same as mx3560 but 20gb less space). I googled the model number online and it seems to be a fairly new model (from around Nov)? So does this mean finding batteries for it may be harder?
Edit: I thought the mx3560 came with a default 6 cell battery? http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Gateway/M210/5385sp2.shtml not 9 cell? -
You are right. I'ts a 6 cells. I am still tryin out to figure if there's a secondary battery option that could take place in the optical laptop bay. I am thinking about calling Gateway.

After calling them (beware, they have a terribly bad customer support) it appears they don't have secondary batt. to put in the optical bay and that they carry only bigger 12 cells. I asked to see how big it is and they offered to send me an email with a diagram or something. I am still waiting for that.
Gateway MX3560 : secondary battery option(s) ?
