Hi, I'm new in this forum and I hope that someone help me out. I have a gateway mx6216 laptop with upgraded memory to full (2GB in total), yesterday I put it out to test another laptop that do not turn on, thinking that there is a memory issue in that laptop. To verify that is not a memory problem, I take out my memories to put it back to my gateway mx6216. Then when I turn on MY LAPTOP (gateway), I notice that the fan begins to work, but in 4~5 seconds turn it off or not work. I don't know what connection there is between fan an change memory. I'm afraid that my laptop fries.

I inspect very well the connection plugs, reinsert the memories, with a compressed air can I take out any clog and I make the memory change carefully with a antistatic strip cable.

Please any suggestions will be appreciate, thanks.
