    Hey there,

I have a gateway mx6438 that is my baby. I took her to a repair shop and they were to replace the ac plug and ended up breaking the plastic piece by one of the monitors, along with returning it to me with the metal piece missing as well. Anywhere I could look to replace that part?
Also part two of the question is that I am looking to upgrade the computer from the Turion Processor. I am a local producer and am looking to upgrade the ram to 2 gigs, which isnt a problem but on the processor I am a bit worried. I've found plenty of processors and have had experience with PC's but not laptops. So what would I need to look for to ensure compatibility and any tips on easing this little transition.

I would drive to that place first thing next week and demand they fix that. They should not be damaging your notebook in the process of fixing it and not do something about it.

I did demand that they fix it, but they are still attempting to charge me 449$ for the AC Plug and fan. To hell with them. Plus now that I've moved their about 4 hours away.
