    Hi,
I have a strange thing with my MX7515 notebook’s LCD screen. When the screen is completely black, you can see that a stripe of screen at the bottom (about 1” or 2” wide)is noticeably brighter than the rest of the screen.
Also there is a small gap (about credit card width) between
the glass and the plastic frame on the right side of screen, but not on any other one.
I wonder if such things are normal with laptops?
    Thanks !

It does not sound right to me. I would take it back to the store where I bought it and compare it with another one. The store will probably do an exchange.

A little bit of light leakage is normal, but I'm not too sure on the gap. Mine seems pretty snug.

I'd exchange it for another one - that is unacceptable.

I heard some of the Dell XPS notebooks had a similar light leakage issue - it was due to a faulty screen
