    Hi,

I recently purchased this notebook and was wondering if there were any good places for purchasing a (spare) AC Adapter for this notebook. I've checked futureshop and best buy but they don't seem to have them...

    Many thanks in advance! :)

I'm sure that Gateway carries them. Chat with a sales rep in support.

    Good luck!
    :)

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply - I'm actually looking for places that I could buy one in Canada... I'm sure it would cost too much to have it ship from the States (unless they do ship from Canada??), with customs duties and shipping :(

Hmm, I forgot you were in Canada. I can't think of any more legit options though. Maybe you could pay the Geek Squad to get into their supply of extra power adaptors?
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Uscooper: I know they are in the states - what I want to avoid is having to pay customs duties and high shipping fees (hence why I was wondering about any places in Canada where I could purchase one).

I guess another option would be to purchase one of those "universal" adapters (e.g. from targus) .. but I'd rather buy the true adapter :p

If you really do prefer the original (which I would too), then look at the option that Uscooper and I mentioned (get one through Geek Squad).
    Best of luck,

But you can always just chat with support and find out. They may very well ship some things out of Canada.

If you can have them (Gateway) mark it as a replacement/warranty part, and you keep the value fairly low (below $75 Can.) and ship with USPS or FedEx instead of UPS you should be OK.
