I have recently purchased the gateway MX7525 notebook and i am having some issues with the audio. It seems like Gateway has cheaped out on the speakers as they are very choppy and give poor quality. I took back my notebook and exchanged it for a brand new one only to experiance the same thing. When ever there is a semi high pitch sound the speakers seem to top out and sound very choppy even at low volume levels. If anyone has any ideas for me to try to improve this it would be much appreciated.![]()

What are you using as an audio player? Some allow for adjustment of a preamp. It the preamp is boosted very high, it will cause lots of distortion.
You really find the audio quality poor? I actually find that they are pretty good. On par or better than my mom's Toshiba with Harman/Kardons (I am using right now). -
Really... it seems to me that it gets very distorted especially when it is a high pitch sound comming out of the speakers... what is even more weird is that i took it back and exchanged it for a new one and the same problem... what can i do to improve this?

I genersally would say that the quality is pretty good also just like mayon... er... I mean... Hellmans said. Whatever you are using may have an equalizer that you can adjust.
Also, I think that there is a new audio driver on the Gateway website that you can get. -
just got it and watched the complete mini-series of band of brothers and the bullets are louder than the character's voice so i think it's pretty good sound quality to where the sounds of a humans voice isnt the same sound level as a bullet's
