Hi, Recenly i brought this laptop called ' GateWay Model ML3108b' it has 512MB of RAM which is so slow. i carnt bare it anymore. i was wondering if anyone can find me a RAM on this website called ' www.aria.co.uk' i live near that place.

Also Would a extra 1GB of RAM added to 512MB help to fast things up?

I mean multi task without crashing or slowing down. I usually run many stuff.

If 1GB of RAM added to 512MB of RAM helps please tell me... or give me advice thanks ^^ ;)

Hmmm it seems to have Vista Home Basic, is that accurate? I don't know anything about what the home basic version entails, but I think its safe to assume that since its some form of Vista, 512 megs of RAM is entirely insufficient for anything.

According to that model's specs at http://uk.gateway.com/products/product.html?prod=ML3108b

it appears that it uses standard notebook DDR2 memory, and you have one empty slot with which to add another stick of ram in. I'd suggest at least a 2 gig stick. Here's something that should do nicely, from that site you listed:

Since you run multiple programs at the same time, 2+ gigs in your system will GREATLY improve your overall computing experience. :)

I would strongly recommend getting a 2 gig stick, budget withstanding, of course.
