    So my brother is looking for a gateway 15 inch and he was looking at the m series xl but its doscontinued. Is gateway refreshing their laptops in a couple weeks or why is it just gone? He wants a 15 inch gateway with dedicates graphics and oner 2ghz c2d so whats the deal?

    bestbuy gateway 6850
    if the cpu proves too weak can always upgrade.
    i would ask around here if the cpu in the 6850 is as easily upgradeable as in the 6860/6831.

    are they going to keep the same gfx cards when they refresh or will they try to use 3650 gddr3 since they came from 2600 gddr3

    It's the M-153XL now.

    Looks like all that was added was 1 more GB of RAM and 40 more GB of harddrive space. And one more color choice. :|

    well i guess if you were looking to do after market upgrades to add 1 GB of ram and change to a 200 GB HD...i think the price would be around an extra hundred. so ya...lameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    OK still a fair price. But guys go to XoticPC $2000 buys a lot! This new platform is going to be nice. I hope Gateway builds a budget system on that platform and soon.
