I registered my 7805u on gateway.com Monday and I am still not able to go to the "My Support" cause it says the serial number is not valid.
I've done live chat and only get "it takes awhile to get into the system"

Has it taken a long time for you all as well ?

    is yours a Refurb?

If so, they are blacklisted from gateway because they were refirbished by another company

There not black listed alot of times tiger direct covers the refurb serial numbers, they did it to the one I had but I peeled the top sticker off and there was the refurb number under it and gateway support had no problems with honoring it.

    they honored a warrenty?

My SN was not covered up, but i went to the driver download page and it did not accept the SN, and when i called Gateway about my artifact issue (i was just going to have it repaired) they said that they will not touch that SN because it was refurbished by Revonate...

If you bought it at Best Buy, it's not a refurb.

The only place selling refurbs is Tiger Direct. (And ebay, but those people got them from Tiger Direct)

Those that have refurbs need to goto the Gateway website and register there BEFORE CALLING GATEWAY SUPPORT !!!

If this proceedure is followed the warranty will be one year from THE ORIGINAL SHIP DATE !!!

If you try to call Gateway support to register your refurb they WILL SCREW YOU AROUND ON ANY REMAINING WARRANTY !!!

ONCE YOU GET YOUR SERIAL NUMBER ON THE "CRAP LIST" YOU AND YOUR MACHINE ARE BOTH SOL !!!

    GATEWAY SUPPORT SUXX !!!
