I want to output just my audio from my laptop through my HDMI port, into my surround sound system. I'm able to output both video and audio on my TV and laptop, but whenever I try to play a game, it just kicks me back to the desktop no matter what resolution I try. I've tried only outputting through one display in the display settings, and when I do that I don't get anything through HDMI, the audio comes out of my laptop. All I want is to be able to play games on my laptop with the audio coming out of my surround system instead of my crappy laptop speakers. When I have it hooked up through HDMI, it shows the audio output as Intel Display Audio, and when it's through my laptop it says Realtek High Definition Audio. I'm sure there's a way of doing this, I just can't figure it out.

Basically I want to be able to play with the audio coming through my surround sound system, but with the video still on my laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also wondering how I go about re-enabling my laptop speakers. I bought an external laptop speaker and disabled my built-in speakers when I connected it, and I don't know how to re-enable them.
