I bought my laptop in September and was able to use my Acer AL 1906 monitor with it untill the Gateway VGA port died. I purchased a Hannspree 20 inch monitor HF 207 with an HDMI port and attached it to the Gateway. Could not get the image on the monitor to fill the screen no matter what I set the resolution to.
After numerous calls to Gateway they have agreed to let me return the laptop for repair of the VGA port.
Any advice about what to do to get the new monitor image to fill the screen?
    Thanks.
