My gateway NV59 which is less then a month old will not boot up. I get a red/orange charging light ( when I plug it in to an outlet) and that is the only sign of life.

There is 0 respounce to pressing the power button. I have had no problems with getting it to charge or getting it to hold a charge before ( I have had problems with laptops not charging before where they would not connect) and before today there where 0 problems.

The only thing of note diffrent out my handling of my lap top was that last night I left it unplugged all night ( though it was off when it was unplugged) but this was not the first time I have done so. please help.

    Thank you for your time.

When I take out the power cord and plug it back it the light stays at its full charged (blue) so I really dont think its a power/battery issue. atleast not as far as the power or battery getting charged.

    Thank you for your time

Have you tried to turn it on w/o battery? Can you open the case and readjust the ram memory? Is the temperature normal? Any noises?

Future shop has stated it as a "mother board" issue and I have a replacement on the way. :/

Sorry to hear that..i cant do that since i bought it and shipped to another country lol Have you tested any resource demanding games like bad company 2 or modern warfare 2? Mine gets too hot sadly on the left palm rest when i play assassins creed 2..although this game did the same on other laptop :s

ps: i dont think you have to open up the case to readjust the memory it has a special slot for it as i remember.
