Anyone own one? I just saw one at Best Buy and I am amazed at the bang for the buck.

I only need one for movies, internet and playing WOW.

Yes the NV series are great bang for buck but you need to find out if the integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD can handle WOW.

I hvae read around 5 reviewers on sites that say they can run WOW fine.

I am on the fence about this Gateway. I have never owned a laptop by them and my last PC was in 1995, it was ok, not the best though. Comes down to a Vaio, Dell Studio and this Gateway, the Gateway being $200 less that the other 2.

I'd go for the NV5207u instead. It's got a 15.6" screen versus the 17.3" on the 7802, but it makes up for the smaller screen by having ATi Radeon HD 3200 graphics. You mention that you want to play WoW on this. I play WoW on mine and usually get around 40fps in areas like Stormwind and other high population areas and in indoor areas such as caves and such, usually 60+fps. Simply put, if the 5207 can run Unreal Tournament 3 fairly well, which it does, then it will run WoW way better than the 7802.

I have my eyes on the NV7802u too but------
Would I miss it not having IEE1394 FIREWIRE Port,
    S Video Output,
    TV tuner?
I will be working with making movies/slides and wonder if those are a must?

Is a TV tuner only needed if you intend on watching TV on your laptop or hooking your laptop up to the TV set? If so, I think I could get along without that.
