I ordered the nx860xl with 17.0" Ultrabright WSXGA+ TFT Active Matrix (1680 x 1050 max. resolution). My friend has a fujitsu n6410 and the lcd on that thing is just awesome.

Since I am ordering blindly I was wondering if anyone here has had a chance to see both of the lcds and could tell me if my gateway will at least be comparable. Thanks

Another question is when customizing the nx860xl I saw there was the option for the

    17.0" Ultrabright WSXGA+ TFT Active Matrix (1680 x 1050 max. resolution)

    and

    17.1" WUXGA at 1920 x 1200

whats the difference besides resolution? Is the wuxga not glossy?

The wuxga is glossy i'm not sure about other differences.

Wuxga is top of the line though.

alright well i got the nx860xl and i must say the fujitsu blows it away screenwise.. everything else like hardware and price + performance the gateway wins.

The whites on the gateway screen are grainy.. not sure if its cause its matte screen but all other colors are nice and glossy like i like but whites just look bland and non-glossy.
