I thought I would post this in case anyone else with a P-171 or 172 fx series needs information. I found when I installed Vista 64bit that I had a few snags, not many. I have linked a support page to install the fingerprint reader under 64bit, I have not tried it yet. That is the only software I could not get to work. I think as soon as the P-6080fx gets drivers listed on Gateway.com/support then it will be a easy transition. Most of the drivers for this laptop are 32/64 bit drivers. Anyways please post any helpful information.
