    Hello all,

I am thinking about purchasing the Gateway P-6831FX from BB. I wanted to ask a few questions to those who either own one or might know:

    1. What is the total amount of memory this notebook will hold? I know it comes with 3 Gig but can you swap out the 1 Gig stick with a 2 Gig stick for a total of 4 gig of memory?

    2. I would like to swap the CPU pretty quick. I was looking on Newegg for an upgrade CPU (T7400 or T7600) but wasn't exactly sure the socket type. Does it use the Socket M socket? Does it use any Merom CPU with a FSB 667?

    3. Can I put two hard drives in the notebook and configure it as a Raid 0 configuration?

    Thanks!
    -P

I just bought it, and I was wondering if it matters if the newer cpu I buy has 65nm instead of 45nm???

Also my cpu started overheating, and I am hoping its just the cpu that needs replaced. It is still under warranty so I might try sending it back to have gateway look at it first.
