Hello all. I recently reformatted my P-6860FX. I installed all the drivers and everything in device manager checks out. The only thing now is that everytime I close or open the laptop, it makes the sound like it's found new hardware. Is there a way I can fix this? It's not really a problem, cause everything works, it's just a bit of an annoyance.

mine does this too, it's either a mouse or other usb device you have plugged into it or you have it set to sleep when you close the lid and it's shutting off your wireless card.
-
The screen is disconnecting and reconnecting... not in a bad way though.
When the lid is shut, the screen disconnects as a device, and when the lid is opened the screen reconnects. -
I don't have any USB devices plugged in, and I tried changing the power options for when I close the lid, yet it still makes the sound.

you do that by going to control panel > hardware and sounds > change system sounds > turn off "device connect" and "device disconnect" -

oops, didn't see that post, thanks!
