I have to admit I'm tired with this laptop already. Now, every time I run some specific game, the screen will go black after 5 or more minutes, sound still looping and the only way to turn the laptop off is hard reset. Before asking this, I tried these following solutions:
    • Update newest bios (In fact, I tried all of them), no help at all.
    • Update newest driver (Like above, I tried such a huge number of Driver).
    • Clean the dust, you can say that my Laptop runs very stable with reasonable temp, so this must not be the reason.
    • Uninstall all default driver installed by Windows, also disabled the automatic installation function, in order to make sure there is no driver conflict.
Well, the thing is I've made a few test with GPU-Z and found out a really silly problem. Whenever I run some specific game, after few minutes, GPU temp will immediately rise to 255 (I tested with Fallout 3, moment before the problem appear, the temp was 72, and immediately switched to 255*C). I don't know why it could be like that, I had played FO3 for over a year and nothing happened 'till few last months. Moreover, right now I'm still able to play FO new vegas without any problem, but FO3, Oblivion will be crashed immediately whenever I play them. I don't think it's heating problem because my GPU could never surpass 78*C while gaming.
Any help is highly appreciated, I'm hopeless now :(
Update: I've disassembled my Laptop and reassembled the GPU heatsink tightly...and nothing better.

Your gpu is dying, you will just have to live with this issue. My p-6860 did this since I bought it, I thought it was high overclocks at the time. After a while it started locking up at stock clocks until I started getting artifacts and finally it stopped booting.

You can try under-clocking / under-volting it should lower the frequency of lockups.

I had this issue too, more than a year ago, but it was solved. I'll check if I can find that thread again and will post it here later on.

Doesn't necessarily mean, that your GPU is dying ^^

Ahh, here it is. That's the fix that worked for me, never had another Black Screen ever since :)
