    Gateway P-7915u FX Problem

    Hello guy's i have a problem with my laptop, it dosent play for more then 2 minutes any game when the charger is connected, it frezzes completely, but when it's on battery it works fine can play as long as the battery lasts.
    Does anyone know what to do? I really apriciate an answer

    Have you checked the temps of the GPU and CPU? These machines need to be cleaned out regularly in order for the cooling to operate efficiently.........

    yes, the temps are never above 55 C, i olso have a cooling pad and stayed with the window open and still the same problem

    My 260m when gaming goes well above 55c, I am suprised yours does not. when you run furmark what temps do you see?

    with no cooling pad i get a maximum of 73 C

    ok, and when running furmark does it run without crashing?

    yes, it olso crashez when i open vlc and when my broser is open into an intensive application, it freezez amd makes a distorsioned sound and the only thing i could do is close it from the power buton

    have you tried disabling powermizer to keep the memory at 3d speeds?

    i got 10 minutes of gameplay insted of 2 before it froze

    you want to be at max essentially. There are programs that will set the registry for you..............

    you want to google "powermizer switch", download it, run that program and set powermizer to off on ac and battery through the pop-up window. See if that helps. If it doesn't you might have to use Nibitor to edit your vbios and change the 2d and 3d settings to a more stable clock.

    tied everything still the same problema, tnx for u're help only thing left to do is to take it to a service center
