I posted this in the "what laptop should I buy thread," but only received one response that wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I'm coming here because from several posts I've read in this forum, Gateway owners seem to love their Gateways...ASUS overheats....what's Lenovo's "issue," if any?
Which laptop would be better for me based on the specs below? This would be a desktop replacement for me, and the most use it would get gaming wise would be MMO gaming, probably weekly (don't have time for daily). I don't care about screen resolution, feel of the keyboard, look of the laptop, or hard drive space (320 is more than enough for me), or battery life. My main concern between these 2 laptops is the processor on the Lenovo is better, but the graphics card on the Gateway is better, and for my purposes I'm not sure which trumps the other. Would like to have this laptop a few years. Price is also important to me, but $50 isn't a deal breaker. Thanks for any help.
Gateway: $1049 / Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz / 320 GB HD / GTX 260M
Lenovo: $999.99 / i7 720QM / 500 GB HD / GT 240M
Both are 5400 RPM and 4 GB DDR3.
