Wonder if I should go for that or just stick with the Gateway P-7908u for about $700 less
-
What a price. What happened to budget gaming gateway???
-
Well, with a T9600 2.8G, 8GB DDR3, and 2 x 500GB HDs, I wouldn't expect it to be "budget" priced.
-
Actually for its price it does seem a bit reasonable.
Just swap the screens and you've got a winner. -
The two 4gb laptop SO-DIMMs cost quite a bit, I'm not sure if 8gb is worth it in a laptop.
-
but the 7805 is getting a workout tonight. stuck at the airforce base playing the hell out of it.
I learned that my netbooks Verizon aircard using internet sharing to my 05u is fast enough to play online FPS! -
that is more expensive than the i7 G51. What a waste of resources putting in 8GB of RAM.
-
the thing that is strange for me is the resolution. why there is 8gb ram so fast cpu, gt260 if youre unable to set higher resolutions? imagine youve got a ferrari with tiny front window.
-
260 GTX isn't a ferrari. It will struggle with some games at 1080p.
-
Resolution 1440 x 900 with such performance is a failure in my opinion. I wanted to buy 7805u with Resolution 1440 x 900 but i waited and was lucky to buy 1920 1200 . Thank god.
-
I would rather wait till their are some used P-7908u or price comes down alot, swap my CPU, hard Drives, and Screen into it and call it a day. Best of both worlds
, but I'm more than happy with my P-7801u. ^_^
-
If it had LED 1440x900 display and T9800/T9900 for this money, then it would be worth the buck. Right now i would buy second hand Asus W90-Vp or similar with same cash. Not to mention the case is same and probably have still heating issues, and its noisy too.
Gateway P-7920u FX on newegg now
