A nice review if a bit simplistic

Too bad the 7808 isnt readily available. It was a great machine (even if i did think it deserved the 1920x1200 screen for the 1800 dollars) I've just always been curious what it could do with the QX9300. That would be pretty sweet :)

It WAS a nice machine until the capella platform had to come in 2H2009.

    Low clocks
    High temps
    More Expensive than current offerings

    Yep. It makes perfect sense.

    I dont understand your points?

THe clocks are normal for a q9000, the temps are the same as any other 78xx unit sans CPU and even those arent "high temps", and its really only more expensive due to the CPU. And not that much (more than it should have been, but not excessively so)

Low clocks doesn't mean anything. A lower clocked quad is definitely better than a higher clocked dualcore.

BTW, isn't your QX9300 a waste of money judging from what you've just said?
    Low clocks too...
    High temps too...
    Most expensive too...
