    Gateway P7811FX - it hang on BIOS startup

    Any idea why my P7811FX hang on BIOS startup?
    It happen sometime not everytime and it happen just recently..
    I can not press the F2 or F10, so I turn it off and on again..
    any idea why?

    I used to have the same issue when the battery died. Sometimes it was charging but when it didn't it hanged at the bios startup. Try diagnosing your battery cause it might be an issue.
    In order to exclude my guess just remove the battery and see if it hangs or not.

    Also if the drive does not initialize properly it will hang the bios.............

    Might want to flash the bios again with 9.17. These boards seem buggy to me.
