So I am trying to make my backup CD's from the Gateway Rcovery Management

    1. (1.08Gb) Driver and Application
    2. (7.96Gb) Factory default disc

I have Memorex 4.7Gb discs. (So I will need to use 2 for the Factory default disc since its 7.96Gb)

Anyway, I place the disc in my optical drive and run the burn...it acts like it is waiting to burn for like 2 minutes then spits the disc out and states :

Error 205 Burning Failed: Please insert a blank CD/DVD into the optical drive and press OK to contiinue

What gives? These are brand new discs. Thanks!

    Try a different CD?

I didn't get that error code but it did tell me to insert a blank disc. Used different CDs and finally it burned fine.

Consequently when I went to use that recovery disc it didn't work and i ended up doing a clean install with the Vista disc they give you.
