I've got one or two corrupt system files and my internet is wonky. So I'm trying to wipe all the settings and data from my 7801u laptop (Vista) using the Gateway Recovery Management option. But every time I click ok to run it the laptop just reboots and goes through normal startup. Am I missing something or?

Enter your BIOS and make sure that your computer is set to run from your CD/DVD drive first. You probably have it set to run from the HDD and it is ignoring the disc.

Recovery Manager shouldn't need a disc it should recover it using the recovery partition on the HDD.
